Mr Haddix,

I saw your reply in the Citizen regarding mowing in front of the Tennis Center and Visitor Center on Planterra Way. I understand times are tough, but have you seen the grass. The grass now is over 26 inches long, what will it grow to prior to the next mowing?

Thanks for your time,

Sincerely,

Cam Vaughn

Mr. Vaughn, it is scheduled the first week of September, but Staff is looking into contracting additional regular mowings.

Mr Haddix,

I saw in your reply to me it is scheduled for the first week of September while your reply on the citizen reflected the later part of September would be the start of secondary mowing. Does the first week reflect a change or perhaps that was a misquote. Nevertheless either is unacceptable if you saw the sorry state of this particular piece of property.

Thanks for your time.

Simcerely,

Cam Vaughn

Sorry, made a mistake. Last week.

I agree appearances mean a ton. Problem we are encountering is that we have some saying cut the budget and no SPLOST or tax increase but don't touch this or that, cut something else. Well, this or that means we would not cut anything while don't add taxes means we don't have the money to pay for it.

Majority has said some service cuts and some some tax increase, which is reasonable. Then the question is what services do we cut, which goes right back to don't cut this or that but something else.

Not trying to be sarcastic but something has to be cut in the budget. Hopefully the contract talks will deliver a reasonable answer we can live with on both the cuts and costs issues since this is an issue that needs resolved to something more reasonable.

I am open to any creative solution suggestions.
