Here are some issues that probably will be passed by some on the Council:
1. Special Exception Clause to the Big Box ordinance to allow Big Boxes on the CCD 54W site.
2. Spot zoning GC to LUC to allow three story motels by Wisdom Point and Lexington.
3. Variance to allow extending building 50% in a PTC buffer.
Not only does this go against what PTC wants and the Comprehensive Plan, it is personal opinion still at work. Which means we are getting set up for more developers coming in and building what is not wanted whether Council approves or not.
Remember the Lowe's case. Personal opinion is not law and once used it cannot be allowed to deny another the same permissions.
We worked for and changed the GC to ban over 35', in example. So, we immediately have two cases of spot zoning requests to circumvent the limit.
I personally believe this is not good for PTC and is not what PTC wants.
